Did they use to make a 4955 too? That was just 2wd? Im pretty sure dad use to plant with the 4955 and do tillage with a 4960. He use to have an old glenco soil saver.
I'm a strong JD guy and I have owned a NH Discbine. I now run a MF disc mower and find it far superior to either of them,
Yes said, you may get five crops this year,!?! You cannot keep taking from the soil like that ! You have to give back. This is how to turn good SOIL, into deserts. You would be far better off, strip feeding using a electric fence. That way, the animals give back manure to help save overworked soil. Also, try not to monocrop, Alfalfa would be a good protection for a 5° Teff mix when sowing. Teff is so good, horses, & humans can do well on it. Any animal will eat it, it is also Gluten free, used in Africa mainly. It does not like any frost, that's the down side. Look it up? Love your mower, which can swap which side to mow, brilliant. Hope you find this useful?
We us the exact same setup as u in hay
How much land do you have ?
This.4960.john.deere has.200.hp

Auto steer , great technology!!
Thanks for the video.
Very impressed with all you've done.Love seeing the old school deere equipment earning its keep. Thanks for updating us and keep up the hard work and may you and your family have a great planting season.
I was no less proud of my fleet of 30-40 year old equipment, than I am of what we have now.
Next time you have repair planter closing wheel bushings check out Copperhead Ag ,they sell a repair kit using two bearings,no play what so ever
I heard those bear the bearing out quick too. Not sure if true
Your have the best tractor 🚜
Nice job keeping them all going!
You have all of your equipment looking dam good. Keep up your hard work on the farm and UA-cam. Thanks for the update.
When I first saw the thumbnail for this video I thought you were going to surprise us with the rebuilt 4440. I see in the comments that you did sell it though which makes sense. Awesome work here with all you've done. Thank you for sharing with us. Hope to see more spring work. Enjoy!
Nice line up of equipment! Stay safe this spring!!
Seems You have spend a lot of money but it looks realy good now.
Everything looks great! I know sometimes things get neglected especially on a dairy but you've really brightened up the face of your entire operation. The resale value will hold extremely well on a nice piece of iron like you've restored here. Great job!
Looking good pal
we put the same tiger lights on our 2290
I love what you did with them tractors. Keep it up man
Did your mom and dad appreciate the time you put in? Seems like you really got the whole line of equipment serviced and maintained for smoother operation
All them t fittings on the air bags they made a updated t we had them aired up and wiggle the like it was leaking on half
Are you full time farming now?
No
You had a busy winter. Equipment is looking good and ready to go to work.
Tractors are looking good, nice job. What is the status on the burnt 4440?
Sold it
@@iowadairyboysFarms Good!
Glad to see that patz mixer still in operation and hope it is still -- I made parts for many of those old mixers -- new verticals work better but the horizontals mix well also. Good luck with your machine
I don’t need the f bomb,,,
i always have a bad year after a good or decent year
why disc-harrow first and chissel-plow second? the other way would be better,i think. question from Germany.
You going to show off the freshly panted tractor? It's nice to hear your fixing up the fleet.
You can’t switch while recording because the cameras shoot in different resolutions.
Nice how is the weather there I have snow here in Sinclairville New York
Buy a second ATU and just move the globe and monitor between the tractors, only takes minutes
Great to see you diggin' again. We all better pray for rain. I'm in SE MN and we haven't had moisture in forever. Just wind to sap all the moisture from the soil.
Glad to see you back. Hope your doing more vids again. Thank you
What happened with the burnt 4440? Y’all still milking?
